Photography is my passion. I love capturing, highlighting and showing what is already there in a beautiful way. I get my inspiration from nature and architecture both in the Netherlands and during my travels. The polder where I live gives me many opportunities to get out and about at home. South Africa is my favourite for wild life photography. Elephants have stolen my heart. For hours I can watch a herd of elephants, the twisting, the pushing and the slow and ponderous way they move. I have been lucky enough to photograph lions and tigers up close several times at the predator sanctuary in Friesland Felida, run by the Four-legged Foundation. Also at Lionsrock in South Africa, I got to spend extended periods of time with these big cats to capture them. Since the advent of digital photography, my computer is my darkroom of old.
