The Girl with the Pearl Earring, originally painted by the Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer, around 1665-1667.
In this version the girl is combined with flowers from a still life by an unknown painter from the same period. The colours have been made more subdued so that the girl fits in with the metal background.
A rough and unpolished but at the same time tender work of art.

I couldn't agree more. Life is serious enough as it is, isn't it? ;-)
Besides artworks with a twinge or a pinch of humour, I also create more serious artworks that hopefully touch your soul, in a good way, as they do for me.
I mainly make surrealist artworks and collages, because I can so wonderfully unleash my creativity and unbridled imagination on those! But I also enjoy making grateful use of the fact that museums all over the world make their paintings of old masters available digitally and then letting my own creative streak loose on them.
I produce my artworks on my computer, using image editing programmes such as Photoshop.
You will also find a number of photos taken by me (my other big hobby). The "disadvantage" of photography is that I am dependent on what appears in front of my lens, as I cannot photograph things that are not there. With my digital paintings, I can go in any direction I want and I really enjoy that.
Hopefully you'll find something that appeals to you in my shop. In any case, know that I made everything with a lot of love, attention and pleasure!
