The Girl with the Pearl Earring, originally painted by Dutch painter (from Delft) Johannes Vermeer, around 1665-1667.
In this version, the girl is combined with flowers from a still life by an unknown painter of the same period.
The colours of the girl's clothes have been made more subdued, thus better matching the background of this artwork, which seems to be made of weathered and here and there rusty metal.
A rough and unpolished but at the same time tender work of art.
The stylists at Art Heroes call my art style ‘Art with a Wink’. And I couldn't agree more. Life is serious enough as it is, don't you think? ;-)
