Milking cows in the meadow - impressionist oil painting on canvas - Pieter Ringoot (1921-2011)
This landscape was probably painted in the late 1960s near Lebbeke. In the foreground, a farmer is milking a cow. A number of milk cans and a classic wheelbarrow are visible in the bottom right of the picture. The church in the background is probably the Sint-Martinus church of Denderbelle. A small village located between East Flanders' Lebbeke, where the painter lived, and Dendermonde in Belgium.
An academic and classically trained painter, Pieter Ringoot painted various landscapes. Discover more of the artist's work on the website of www.galerieringoot.com.
