Teuni's Dreams of Reality about Mist over the Kalmthoutse heide
On the Kalmthoutse heide, you can climb the fire tower and thereby enjoy the beautiful view of the landscape.
On this early morning in September, before sunrise, after a clear night with a lot of condensation in the air and the ground temperature dropping below the dew point, patches of fog, also known as 'Witte wieven', formed.
At first only ground fog could be observed in the distance but the further the minutes passed the more ground fog stretched across the landscape.
The colors of the image are cool because the sun is not yet fully up.
How beautiful it is to see the layers of trees in the landscape extending further and further back and above the fog.
It is very rewarding to get out of bed early sometime to find a nice spot in a landscape to observe this.
The process continues and you see the atmosphere change a little each time.
