This illustration shows several familiar animals from the continent of Antarctica.
The fun and also unique thing about this illustration from a series, is that the animals are connected like puzzle pieces and together form one image. You can look at these graphic elements from different angles and then you will discover the different animals. Because the animals are illustrated with only basic elements (circles, squares and triangles), this exudes simplicity and there is a nice cohesion between all the animals.
Tim de Leeuw works as a graphic designer after completing his training at various design agencies. He has created his own style by designing in an illustrative way. This is reflected in the many logos and corporate identities that he has designed. In addition to graphic design, Tim has experimented a lot with digital illustration in his free work. What is particularly visible in his work in recent years is that he has gone back to the basics of graphic elements. Simplicity plays an important role here.
