About "Moonfish"

About the artwork

In this surreal painting on the beach, there is a moonfish connecting its fin to a rubber boot. The beach is illuminated by summer light, the sand shines in its usual splendour. But an unusual scene unfolds in the air: a rowing boat with a hovering sail on which laundry hangs to dry. An anchor extends from the boat and is held by a sailor on a string. Despite its materiality, the wooden boat appears curved and gentle.

This artwork invites us to reflect on the nature of reality. What is reality? What reality does the moonfish experience? Even the fish carries a plug with a drain in its body. The painting challenges our conventional notion of reality and makes it clear that reality can take many forms. It opens the door to a world where a rowboat can float through the air and a fish can interact with a rubber boot. This begs the question: Doesn't everyone see objective reality a little differently?

The surreal elements encourage us to rethink our entrenched notions of reality and norms. The painting undermines certainty and creates space for a playful contemplation of a world that exists beyond conventional conventions. It encourages us to stretch the boundaries of our imagination and appreciate the diversity of reality.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
