Elianne van Turennout Profile picture Discover a unique artwork that captures the essence of neurodiversity and abundance. This series began as a single floating self-portrait with a lampshade and has evolved into an impressive series on neurodiversity. This particular image depicts how neurodiverse people often unconsciously think outside the box. The blindfolded Lady Justice symbolises open-mindedness, a quality central to this representation of neurodiversity.

A striking element in this artwork is the kingfisher, chosen as a symbol of abundance. This choice stands out from clichés such as a crow or a white dove, and adds a unique touch to the whole. Previous works in this series mainly highlighted the struggles, but this artwork marks a turning point by also highlighting the positive aspects.

Inspired by the Dark Academia subculture, this artwork creates an enchanting atmosphere. Although the fashion is different, the influence of this style is evident in the soft shadows and the play of light and dark. This contrast creates a beautiful dimension, with a small glimmer of light symbolising hope amid the darkness.

This artwork is perfect for art lovers with an eye for unique and profound pieces. Ideal for those interested in neurodiversity and symbolism, who want to enrich their interiors with an artwork that is both visually appealing and meaningful. Be inspired by the beauty and message of this artwork, and add a special piece of art to your collection.

It all started with a4 paper and HB pencils. As a child I was often impressed by how beautiful the world around me was. The urge to capture this beautiful world, and to show the people around me what I saw, was actually there from the beginning. If I remember correctly, I was about eleven years old when I first met the camera. Of course it was a simple compact camera with a ridiculous quality, but I enjoyed it.

I sometimes said I wanted to be a photographer, but of course you have one of the two parents who says, "Dream on." Strangely enough, I followed the sarcastic remark as advice, and still went to study photography.
