This is a landmark building on the south side of the high street in the town of Lewes in East Sussex, England. This beautiful timber framed historic building, Grade II listed, dating back to the 15th century, is used as a book shop. The shop has thousands of second hand and collectors books with children's and illustrated books a specialty.
As you can see, the building's stunning historic architecture includes timber beams, beautiful old windows and an eclectic roof line. The timber frames are upright and exposed with a plaster infill. You can see the jetty that protrudes out over the street. There is a milestone, in the form of a stone plaque, set into the front of a bookshop.
As well as being a gorgeous historic building, the bookshop itself spills out onto the pedestrian passage at the side of the building. A total paradise for an avid reader.
