Old railway line "Borkense Course" near the German border in the municipality of Winterswijk.
Previously ran here a railway line from Winterswijk to Borken in Germany. In 1989, the grounds of the Dutch railways transferred to a protected natural monument. The flora and fauna is very special in this protected area. Especially the sand lizard occurs between the stones of the old railway.

In my student days I became interested in photography and started in the analogue era with black and white photography as a specialty. At the time of the introduction of the first digital cameras stopped for a while under the guise of "now everyone can shoot".
After the observation that this statement is not based on truth, since a few years my old passion in digital form has been taken up again. As a Achterhoekse photographer I am mainly engaged in photographing nature and culture in my immediate environment. Trying to make optimal use of the natural light available plays a major role in this. Besides this nature and culture I also like to photograph portraits.
