View over Amsterdam and Amsterdam Central Station at night, view from A'DAM tower.
This now iconic photo was taken on Christmas Eve 2014 when I climbed the A'DAM tower. The A'DAM tower was then just a skeleton. Even the crown was missing. From every floor it became clear what the charm of the building was: the amazing view over the city of Amsterdam.
This photo was taken 2 weeks after the renovated bus station of Amsterdam Central Station was completed. The letters AMSTERDAM are beautifully visible. In addition, the river IJ looks beautiful, the ferry, Tolhuis, and much, much more to see.
Are you looking for a photo that screams Amsterdam? Then you don't have to look any further. This is the photo of Amsterdam!
Renzo Gerritsen is a young and ambitious photographer, always looking for a new perspective. With his project Nachtelijk Amsterdam (Nocturnal Amsterdam) he photographs Amsterdam in a unique way, unlike any other with a fresh perspective.
In addition, Renzo made a reportage about dilapidation in Amsterdam with beautiful urbex photos from his own soil, a cruise ship from the roof of the Mövenpick Hotel and other spherical urban landscapes. Take a look between his photos.
