One Two Tango | portrait of a dancer A stunningly beautiful woman in a yellow dress, mysteriously surrounded by red cloth. This woman looks down over her left shoulder. Facing the spectator, but unaware of her audience. Around her neck she wears a subtle necklace and her yellow dress is accentuated by the small yellow hair clip and the light yellow accents in the background. The composition of this painting is dynamic and seems to send your gaze around like a whirlwind. From her face, our gaze is guided down through her eyes, where the yellow of her breasts immediately catches the eye. Especially in contrast with the aubergine purple right next to her breast. Then, through the diagonal black and red line of the dancing canvases, our gaze is moved back up to the right, where the bending of the colours in the background bring our gaze back to the beautiful girl with her hair pulled up so casually on a low, chic bun. The painting shows us the moment before an intense dance is about to be danced. Hence the title One Two Tango. Our gaze dances across the painting, and the girl will beam and dance on stage. She grabs her spotlight.
I am MadameRuiz, and am an artist by profession. I hope to delight you with my work. Here in my profile, or on your wall :) Both are fun!
Will you let me know what you think of my work? I would love to get in touch with you. Also when you have one of my works in your home I am very curious about the end result in your interior.
I love everything that has to do with art, culture and creativity. Experiencing, creating, teaching and communicating. Through language, image, non-verbal and through the musical voice.
I became known for my commissioned ink portraits. My work was first shown to a large audience in the program VTWonen Weer verliefd op je huis (February 2021). I make many ink portraits of and for individuals; from pregnancy portraits, wedding portraits, child portraits, love portraits and family portraits to portraits of pets such as dogs, cats, horses and birds. These ink portraits are all handmade by the way, drawn and painted with east indian ink on watercolor paper.
In my shop at work on the wall you can order my Digital Art. Because I normally work almost exclusively on commission, my autonomous art via Digital Art is really a wonderful experimental outlet. This also means that I keep experimenting with painting techniques and collage techniques using Photoshop. Although I love to experiment, quality comes first
