If the alarm goes off at 4:00, it's very early. But with the fog that was expected I could not resist to jump out of my bed and get into the car.
The Oudendijkse Molen is a seesaw mill on the Dorpsweg 63 in Hoornaar, in the Zuid-Holland municipality of Molenlanden. It is one of the two remaining mills of what is called Het Land der Zes Molens. The other remaining windmill is the Scheiwijkse Molen. The windmill was built in 1683 and operated until 1967. After an inner rod broke, the Oudendijkse Molen was shut down and in 1970 the polder board transferred it to the SIMAV. In 1983-1984 the mill was thoroughly restored. The Oudendijkse Molen can be visited by appointment.
It fled with a length of 26.80 m. is old-Dutch fenced. The Oudendijkse Molen has never been mortarized and therefore grinds with a scoop wheel. (Source: Wikipedia)
I am Sander Peters, a passionate photographer from Rhenen, the Netherlands. My speciality lies in capturing urban landscapes, atmospheric nature images and special moments. In my work, I play with light, shadow and composition to create images that tell a story. I believe the power of photography lies in capturing details that are often overlooked and in evoking emotions in the viewer.
My passion for photography began in the analogue era, and since then I have refined my style by combining traditional techniques with modern innovations. I draw inspiration from the contrasts around me: the serene tranquillity of nature and the vibrant energy of cities. With my photos, I want to take the viewer into another world and show them how I experience it.
Besides my artistic work, I share my knowledge and enthusiasm as a photography teacher. Here, I help both beginning and advanced photographers improve their skills and develop their creativity. It gives me immense satisfaction to inspire others and ignite their passion for photography.
