On our arrival in Tre Cime that same evening we were treated to a beautiful sunset and blue hour, one of the most beautiful I've seen in ages. When the sun goes down in the mountains and the conditions are just right, a certain glow can appear on the mountains, the so-called "Alpen Glow" - it seems as if the mountains "give light" which is a beautiful sight. This can also be seen very clearly on the panoramic photo. Personally I think this is one of the most impressive locations in the Dolomites, it's as if this landscape comes directly from a movie like Lord of the Rings (Mordor). It is a photo of over 60 megapixels and is therefore very suitable to print large without loss of detail. That is what this picture deserves.
