Down an alleyway in Pienza, Tuscany, Italy, these two bicycles were parked together up against a mottled wall. One blue bike and one pink, they both have baskets on the front. In a town with narrow streets and lots of tourists, these are a great way of getting around. Behind the bicycles can be seen various pots of plants and window boxes, container gardening framing the front door of a house, very traditional in Italy in towns where houses have no gardens.

Born in the South of England I now live half way up a mountain in Umbria, Italy. I work from my art studio looking out over fabulous views of the Italian countryside. I am so happy to share my artwork with you.
