My photographic motto: 'learning to look at the same in a different way'.
As a non-professional picture maker I try to do the photo making on a broad level. I do not focus on specific subjects or themes. Everything that makes viewing and observing worthwhile has my full interest. My cameras, lenses and other attributes are certainly not fussy about my chosen subjects. They willingly bend like the reed in the wind.
For me, making images is first and foremost about the content, form, beauty and artistry of a photograph and secondarily about the photographic technique. By the way; I certainly don't underestimate the necessary technical and artisanal skills needed to make good photographs. As far as I'm concerned it's 75% High Touch and 25% High Tech.
Lately I have been focusing more on a form of photography with working titles like; My Impressiograpics and My Monochromes. A form of photography partly inspired by the impressionists and the old masters of black and white photography.
