"Tranquillity in nature: Fluff ball of a Tragopogon" is a macro shot of a beautiful fluff ball of a Tragopogon with some kind of linen-like material in the background. Because the background is blurred, this creates a natural-looking blended beige-like background. Zooming in on the work, you can see that the focus is on the front fluff of the Tragopogon. A Tragopogon (in the Netherlands this flower is also called the Morning Star) is a member of the Composite family, just like the dandelion. When the flower has finished flowering, it turns into a ball of fluff, as shown here.
The colours in this work, and of course the subject matter, create a rural warm atmosphere. Because the background of this work matches the morning star, it creates a kind of harmony between foreground and background, which gives tranquillity.
This work could hang beautifully as wall decoration, on aluminium or ArtFrame for example, in the waiting room, bedroom, children's room or of course just above the couch in the living room!
