Warm sunlight, sea water and rocks at sunrise on the Mediterranean coast in Calpe. During a morning walk along the coast (on the Paseo Ecológico), you can enjoy wonderful views in the direction of the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park. The prominent mountain rises majestically from the Mediterranean Sea and is the landmark of the coastal town of Calpe.
In the foreground you can see the rock formations of a former quarry. In the past, the rock here was removed by human hands. The rocks bear the traces from that time. Rock faces illuminated by the sun appear in golden and orange hues. The composition of the rock formations, their reflection in the calm sea water and the Peñón de Ifach in the background creates a unique coastal landscape.
This photograph is dedicated to the magical sunrises on the Mediterranean coast and the wonderful coves on the northern Costa Blanca in Spain. Places where rock formations meet clear sea water inspire me a lot. Especially early in the morning, when the coastal ambience is perfectly calm and the landscape is lit up by the first rays of the sun.
