This work has been in my shop for some time and I decided to revive it after a few years, in order to be able to make a better translation of the moment you see this view for the first time. Everyone who has been to Machu Picchu knows how special it can be. You just have to be lucky with the weather conditions. This can vary from dense fog to clear skies as I have experienced them. To be able to take this picture we had to get up very early to be able to stand in the front of the queue with busses that brought us to the entrance. Unfortunately you can't enter the park before 06:00, then the 'doors' open as it were. At that time it's already quite light and the sun has just risen, but the light isn't as strong as it was in the afternoon. When you enter the site you don't immediately see this beautiful view, you still have to walk up a few 'stairs' which can be quite a challenge at this height. Luckily we were already over 3 weeks in Peru and so we were used to the altitude. But if the altitude doesn't take your breath away, that's the moment when you are treated for the first time to the beautiful and mystical view on the site of 'Machu Picchu' which means 'ancient mountain' The most beautiful archaeological site of an ancient Inca civilization, caressed by the warm rays of the sun that come to look over the surrounding mountain tops. A beautiful moment that hopefully has been translated in this beautiful panoramic photo.
