A very dramatic picture of the Scheveningen Pier. This picture was taken during a sunny but very windy winter day in which large cloud formations in the country went. The clous provide an extra dramatic effect of the already rusted and crumbling pier. A beautiful picture if the pier is not in this form. On October 28, 2014 announced that the Pier has been purchased and will be used again in 2015.

Ricardo Bouman is a graphic designer and all-round photographer.
His photographic collection consists largely of travel photography and, in particular, (mountain) landscapes, cityscapes, night photography of skylines and threatening weather conditions.
Important factors within his compositions are colour contrasts, tessellation, perspective, tension and drama. A lover of the weather, cloud cover and thunderstorms, he always pays particular attention to weather conditions and captures the tension and menace of the moment. Ricardo edits his photos for colour and contrast, but in a way that keeps the beauty of the subject intact and realistic.
Ricardo also photographs atmospheric images in his photo studio. Think Close-up photos of Flowers and Plants and atmospheric 'Lay-flat' photos with fruits, herbs and spices in beautiful compositions.
