The Meervogel polder mill, built in 1801 to drain the Noorder Hoeksmeersterpolder (southeast of Garrelsweer), has been restored several times and is now run by volunteer millers. The mill can be used for extra drainage in emergency situations. This photo was taken during a beautiful sunrise.
