I wanted to create a portrait of the beautiful red poppies that grow in the countryside around my home here in Umbria, Italy. Not just a photograph, but something that says how I feel when I look at them as they give me such joy. So this piece of photo art, poppies peeking out, aims to get across that joy, and the wonder of this incredible plant of the natural world.

Born in the South of England I now live half way up a mountain in Umbria, Italy. I work from my art studio looking out over fabulous views of the Italian countryside. I am so happy to share my artwork with you.
