Watercolour of a man reading a letter. His head is supported by his arm resting on a stack of books. His one leg in blue-green trousers rests on his other leg and he is barefoot. On his head he wears a brown hat. He sits relaxed at the window and reads the letter ponderingly.
It is an impressionist watercolour in soft tones giving it a romantic look.
Fits nicely in a classic interior. But it will certainly not look out of place in a sleek modern interior either, as it exudes tranquillity.

I have time to draw and paint more after years of volunteer work for the St. Care Foundation The Gambia. Inspiration I got in the Gambia where I also lived. The colors, the population and life is a great source of inspiration. But also the quieter life now is inspiring to use softer colours and to work more with pastel chalk. But still it's nice to work in all kinds of colours and to try out new techniques and new materials.
