This image from a characteristic tree, on the dyke adjacent to the Vallei Channel in Leusden, was made with an analogue medium format Hasselblad camera and Fuji Provia 100F slide film. It was my intention to create a painterly en even more impressionistic image for which the photo would only serve as a base layer. After digitizing the slide, I added some texture and color correction layers in order to obtain the image I had envisioned. For me this is a welcome and very inspiring experiment as it differs quite a lot from the work I normally produce. I have made a series out of it, all images can be found on this website. I thought it was really interesting to document my direct living area this way.
