"Primal ground" is the title of some abstract studies. The images are essentially so basic that they give all the space to recall a viewer's own associations with what he/she has ever seen or experienced. Inspired by the German philosopher Meister Eckhart (1260-1327), who speaks of a kind of primal ground or primordial matter as "hometown of everything," of human images and words.
