My first work from my series of card queens. Each of the four queens has its own character. Their respective symbol is represented by their hair/hairstyle. The image is a mixture of rendering and painting. The character was created and rendered in Poser. Background, details and hair were painted in Photoshop on Wacom Tablet.
Britta Glodde is a digital artist from Germany with Spanish residency and a self-confessed Aries. She has been drawing and painting since her father taught her - today she teaches herself: "I love trying new techniques. That's how I discovered the possibilities of digital art. I started with 3D rendering about 12 years ago, then I moved on to digital painting and for some time now I have been incorporating parts of photos into my works. My style may have changed over time, but my preferred subjects have not. I have a weakness for female beauty (faces and eyes mainly). I like to portray my fantasy ladies in a surreal context. My favourite series deals with women and food - which is not surprising when you know how passionate I am about feasting. Another passion of mine is imagining and writing fantasy worlds/stories. In other words: I think nothing is impossible - I believe in fairy tales - and I can discover magic everywhere. So if I can bring a little magic to your walls, I am very happy."
