The L-shaped Elicium building that marks the main entrance to the RAI convention centre has a futuristic appearance. The horizontally oriented part with exhibition spaces floats five metres above street level and is connected to the original RAI complex by footbridges on both sides.
On the Europaplein side, the façade of perforated stainless steel sheets has a closed character, while the other three sides are largely made of glass, where the building opens up to the surrounding RAI buildings.
