About the artwork

As the setting of a post acopalyptic zombie movie. Bastnas Auto cemetery in Sweden. In the wooded area of the hamlet of Bastnas , about twenty kilometers below the town of Tocksfors, on the border between Sweden and Norway lies an abandoned car graveyard. The result of a car parts trade by two Swedish brothers who mainly did business with Norwegian customers. The extensive site contains a few houses and outbuildings, and is freely accessible if you follow the rules. You are not allowed to enter the buildings, or take anything off the premises. After the two brothers quit their business, nature took over the grounds again. An old red Saab 96 is stacked on overturned car wrecks. Rusty metal overgrown with moss. The whole thing partly reflected in the rusty brown water. This image was taken using a Fujifilm X-T3 mounted on a tripod during a rainy day in the Summer of 2022
