Metro station Vijfsluizen is located in the district of the same name in Schiedam, near the point where the A4 motorway enters the Beneluxtunnel. The station is part of the Benelux line between Schiedam and Spijkenisse. The station was designed by architecture firm Zwarts & Jansma Architects (ZJA). The roof curves from convex at the edges to concave above the platform. I took this photo using a reflection on the steel top of a transformer box. This creates a double symmetrical effect. The steel beams of the canopy run from the four corners to the centre, drawing the eye into the photo, as it were. I converted the photo to black and white with Nik Silver Efex Pro filters.
