In the East of the Netherlands were originally many agricultural companies. Many of these farms have now been converted into houses. Some are still in original condition. A small number has expired, such as this farm in the hamlet called Miste at Winterswijk in the East of the Netherlands. This region is called the Achterhoek.

In my student days I became interested in photography and started in the analogue era with black and white photography as a specialty. At the time of the introduction of the first digital cameras stopped for a while under the guise of "now everyone can shoot".
After the observation that this statement is not based on truth, since a few years my old passion in digital form has been taken up again. As a Achterhoekse photographer I am mainly engaged in photographing nature and culture in my immediate environment. Trying to make optimal use of the natural light available plays a major role in this. Besides this nature and culture I also like to photograph portraits.
