Carefully carved into the rust-coloured stone, these engravings depict wild animals, mysterious symbols and traces of an ancient way of life. They tell stories of hunting, spiritual rituals and the deep connection between man and nature.
Twyfelfontein's dry heat and rugged beauty make the place almost timeless. The silence of the landscape, interrupted only by the wind blowing along the rocks, enhances the feeling of entering a window to the distant past.
