Rubjerg Knude Fyr near Lønstrup in North Jutland. Hidden behind a huge shifting dune, the Knude was 200 metres from the coast when it was built in 1899. But storms and the rough North Sea meant that at some point it was barely 10 metres away. It threatened to fall down the steep coast. Its fire was extinguished in 1968 and its light could not be seen from the sea due to the sand dunes.
The Knude was rescued in 2019. In a one-off operation, it was moved 70 metres further inland.
I'm a chemical lab technician by profession. A few years ago I discovered that I enjoy working with the camera and that it has become my great hobby. So I did not learn to take pictures. I take pictures from my gut - and I do it with all my passion. I find my motifs mainly on the beach, in Constance on Lake Constance or at car meetings.
