Sally B is an American fighter plane, the Flying Fort, with a special history. She was built to participate in World War II, but when she rolled off the assembly line, the war was just over. She was deployed as an instructional aircraft, show aircraft and ... actress. Sally B played a role in a number of films about World War II. In the meantime, after some facelifts, she enjoys a peaceful retirement in a war museum in England. A couple of times a year, she flies out as a tribute to fallen fighter pilots. This beautiful picture of the young Sally B is the ultimate art purchase for aviation enthusiasts or people who love a cool picture with a beautiful story.(Collection Timeview, Flying Objects, Sally B 1945)
