The Gasterse Duinen is a nature reserve in Drenthe near the villages of Gasteren and Anloo, typical Drenthe villages with their characteristic houses and Brinken. Where these large grazers, the Scottish Highlanders, walk and graze freely through the dune landscape. More grazing than walking by the way.
It is deliciously cold in the Netherlands these days, -5 to -10 degrees, which makes for beautiful pictures!
Here on this Scottish Highlander there is still a layer of snow, but he doesn't care. These cattle can take the cold very well.
