Sunset, early spring, in Umbria, Italy, casting beautiful light over an old olive tree, one of several in an olive grove. Years of pruning and weather have created a worn trunk and ornate shapely branches. The olive tree owns its space, large and impressive against the background of the different earth and green tones around it caused by the light of the setting sun. The tree has been tended by generations of farmers and has been through earthquakes, drought and heavy snow fall. But it still produces lots of olives every year. This is a photo art image using my photograph of a tree in the olive grove that sits below my house.
