From April to November, a flock of about 300 Kempen Heath Sheep runs in the area. The grazing keeps it from becoming overgrown. If no action is taken, the drift sand area would eventually disappear altogether. The sheep here follow the shepherd as they go down a high dune. This picture is part of the photo series called 'Brabant Sahara' and was published in National Geographic (NL).
