I visited Norway's Lofoten island with a bunch of other photographers. Our aim was to photograph the less obvious subjects here and we were not disappointed. Still, these so called iconic location, from which you see loads of images all the time, have become iconic for a reason: they are all fantastic photographic subjects. We decided we did not want to return home without trying to have a go at these location, giving it our own signature. So, after a day photographic the lovely fishers town of Reine, we ended up at the bridge from where most of the vista's from Reine are shot. The weather was changing constantly, with fog moving in and out, but the lighting conditions proved wonderful at times. At a given moment, the dramatic mountain in the background was lit up by a sudden sunbeam, giving a nice effect to the image with the foreground still covered in clouds. I warmed up the sky in post processing but kept this typical cold arctic light temperature in the foreground.
