"Simplicity is not always simple: Lines of a stem with leaves (light grey)" is a photo of a stem of a flower with the surrounding leaves in mainly light shades of grey. Because the photo is a macro shot and the colour has been taken out, it is not immediately recognisable as the stem of a flower. This work is also available in colour (Abstract Photography: Green Work code: 1 390 064) and in a darker variant: Simplicity is not always simple: (The lines of a stem with leaves Work code: 1 639 868).
As this picture was taken with a macro lens, the structure of this small piece of stem can be seen very nicely (This is the middle straight strip). You can see the leaves surrounding the stem on both sides. These lines are not straight but undulate very nicely around the stem. The bottom strip is the reflection of the leaf on a special kind of structure, giving you a reflection with a picturesque texture in it. At the top, you can vaguely see the next stem.
Because you only see a very small part, without very recognisable elements, you probably wouldn't think at first that this is a piece of a tulip.
This work could hang beautifully as wall decoration (on ArtFrame or aluminium, for example) in the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or simply above the couch in the living room! Also beautiful on the wall in a meeting room (business).
