I took this picture on the Ermelo heath on the Veluwe. I have chosen to take this photo in portrait mode. When I took this picture, the heather was already flowering purple. Unfortunately there is also long grass between the heather plants, there is normally a flock of sheep walking on the heath, only because of the warm weather this flock had gone to the barn earlier. There are more of these narrow paths across the Ermelo heath. As you can see there were not only sunny moments but also pretty cloudy. To be able to take this nature picture I used a tripod and also used a grey gradient filter to make the sky darker.
Welcome to my shop. My name is Gerard de Zwaan and I was born in 1983 in the Veluwe town of Harderwijk, where I still live. I started photography in 2013. My first camera was a Nikon D3200 which I still own, currently I use a Nikon D7200. Every now and then I also use 1 or 2 Nikon SB700 reportage flash units to highlight a subject. From the beginning I mainly do nature photography, it is mainly landscapes I photograph, the Veluwe woods around Harderwijk being a perfect starting point for this. Occasionally I do macro photography and sometimes I photograph wildlife. Occasionally, I also do portraits of people, which can be commissioned or free work.
