Putto asleep.
In sculpture and painting, a putto (plural: putti or putti's) or amoretto is a chubby child figure, almost always male and usually nude. If the child has wings, it is also called a cherub. Putti are mainly found in the Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo art.
The word putto comes from the Italian and was originally a (swear) name for a little boy.
