Elianne van Turennout Profile picture Deep in the quiet interior of an old barn, where the smell of hay and wood blended into a warm blanket of nostalgia, a small, fuzzy kitten found its own playground of adventure. With eyes as big as saucers and curiosity that seemed to cross the boundaries of its little world, it entered the vast landscapes of imagination with soft paws.

The kitten, a beacon of innocence and excitement, deftly climbed onto the hay bale, every fibre of its being clinging to the rough textures of the past. It felt the gentle tickle of hay stalks under its soft paws as it sought its balance on the undulating tops of the bale. Sun rays, broken through the cracks in the old wood, danced like golden ribbons across its fur, while dust particles of days long gone danced gently in the air, like a memory of a time once upon a time.

In this oasis of silence and serenity, the kitten began his own journey of discovery, guided by his indomitable curiosity and wonder. Every creak of the wooden beams and every breath of wind through the cracks of the barn became a symphony of exploration, every jump on the hay bale a step further into the unknown world of the farm.

With each movement, each playful leap and each exploration of his new surroundings, the kitten began to weave a story - a story of adventure, of discovery and of the timeless bond between an animal and its environment. And amid the rustic setting of the old barn, a little fluff ball became the hero of his own epic journey, in search of priceless treasures: the simple joy of discovering the world around him.

It all started with a4 paper and HB pencils. As a child I was often impressed by how beautiful the world around me was. The urge to capture this beautiful world, and to show the people around me what I saw, was actually there from the beginning. If I remember correctly, I was about eleven years old when I first met the camera. Of course it was a simple compact camera with a ridiculous quality, but I enjoyed it.

I sometimes said I wanted to be a photographer, but of course you have one of the two parents who says, "Dream on." Strangely enough, I followed the sarcastic remark as advice, and still went to study photography.
