Storm Corrie reached wind force 9 along the coast in the Netherlands on Monday morning, officially making it the first storm of 2022.
But why did this storm get a name?
And who is Corrie anyway?
The storm is named after 83-year-old Corrie van Dijk.
She was the first female meteorologist at KNMI in 1964.
Wind gusts with speeds between 75 and 100 kilometers per hour.
