The Strelitzia owes these nicknames to its unusual flower. It looks just like a flying bird of paradise, with orange and deep blue hues.
This beautiful photo was taken in a nature park in Tenerife where the flower was hidden among many other plants waiting for its ray of sunshine through the plant cover.
