In Eindhoven there are (old) industrial areas where Philips used to have its factories and offices. After the departure of Philips, Strijp-S was transformed into a dynamic residential area and all kinds of companies found their home at Strijp T. This means that the unique industrial heritage in the former forbidden city "has been preserved for the future.
In the photo you can see the raised train tracks and behind them Strijp-S, with the newly built residential towers such as the Trudo Tower, with the "vertical forest" and the red "Haasje over" so called because it had to be built partly over the old factory hall. Other residential towers have also been built over the years, making it a vibrant part of Eindhoven.
In the background you can see Strijp-T, including the building Strijp TQ with its beautiful roof terrace overlooking Eindhoven. You can also see the twin chimneys at the old power station that used to supply electricity to parts of Eindhoven.
The photo was taken with a drone, giving you a nice view of the area and an image that you will not easily see in practice.
I am Justin Suijk, besides working in ICT I am also a photographer, capturing mostly landscapes and motorsport.
