During his successful career, the artist has distinguished himself by the high degree of multidisciplinary professionalism in his creative research.
After traveling to Japan, he was fascinated by the Japanese culture. He has produced a refined series of artworks in which he extensively explores the spirituality and phenomenology of the Land of the Rising Sun. The series, characterized by the use of different media, is a recapitulation of Jacob's time in Japan and displays a refined language built on particular means reminiscent of Zen calligraphy, the delicate chormatism of Japanese woodblock prints and the suspended atmospheres typical of the Kanō school.
