Swimming pool 't Gasselterveld lies close to the playpond 't Nije Hemelriek. This pool, which is over 50 metres deep in the middle, is a former sand excavation. Because of the cold and deep water and the collapsing banks, the lake used to be dangerous for swimmers. On the east side a shallower part has been made, with a ball line indicating where it gets deeper.
It's a lovely place where you can now swim and sunbathe to your heart's content.
Martin van Rossum (1993) is a passionate photographer living in Stolwijk. Just below Gouda, in the municipality of Krimpenerwaard! He is versatile, and has taught himself the tricks of the trade. In landscape photography, beautiful light is the most important thing for me. I like to go out early to "catch" the most beautiful light of the day.
