Glicee of fine art print of the surf marking the place where the sea kisses the land and then retreats in shock. She prepares for another attempt. The same ritual she keeps up nonstop. Tirelessly. The wind determines the intensity of this exercise. The sun is still high in the sky but has passed its highest point of the day. That explains the strong reflection on the surface of the ocean. The extraordinary width (relative to the height) of this painting enhances the sense of the vastness of the ocean: as far as the eye can see, the water stretches.... It is not difficult to imagine the persistent roar of the surf. This completes the imagination. Views of the sea are mesmerising: I could gaze at them endlessly. Shall I wait for the sun to set?
This painting feels at home in any interior.
