About "Symbiotic Mermaids"

About the artwork

Two mermaids swim circles around each other. They are completely in sync. It's only by their coral pink hair that you can tell that they are not the same mermaid. They almost seem to form a symbol therefore, they can also be seen as the star sign of Pisces.

The inspiration for this work is an imperfect reflection. Although it's somewhat reminiscent of Art Nouveau in terms of movement, it's very clean when it comes to the patterns.

The atmosphere is that of dreamy, slow movements under water. The beauty of the female body is central thus, the mermaids remain anonymous.

I hope the image evokes a peaceful feeling in the buyer, one of balance and symbiosis.

The technique I used is paper cutting. I used two patterns and there are some drawn on elements as well. The paper cutting creates a nice surface texture with a slight 3D feel.

This work fits nicely into a modern interior. It gives a quiet, graphic touch with a touch of colour.

My work distinguishes itself by strong colours and clear shapes. I work with ecoline, ink and pencil, but I also like to cut and paste.
I get my inspiration from nature and like to daydream. Animals and people sometimes seem to melt together in these reveries.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
