Multilayered photographic work based on a corridor in a former monastery in Schwalmtal, Germany. The abandoned building has a lot of color that becomes even more intense by combining images. The extra emphasis on color, but also the interplay of lines and perspectives in the various layers of photos provide a new representation of reality.
This image in panorama format symbolizes the frames from which one can think. The merging of different frames provides new perspectives. The structure of the whole offers something to hold on to.
I like to make multi-layered photographic work. By combining several photos in one image a new reality is created with often intense colours and new perspectives. The places where I collect the ingredients for the photographic work are places that at first don't look very attractive. That's what makes it so much fun for me - looking closely at 'hidden beauty' that sometimes only comes to the fore when the images are mixed.
