TIPPING POINT is a mixed media urban landscape artwork depicting the fragile balance between man and nature. In a raw urban environment, a young girl stands side by side with an imposing polar bear. She points the way.
The polar bear, a symbol of climate change, clearly does not belong here. The weathered walls and rusty doors suggest a world slowly crumbling.
In the background, overgrown plants and weeds take possession of a weathered wall with rusty doors. An urban jungle. The girl's union with the bear forms a statement about responsibility as ‘life savers’. The work is about the tipping point at which we have to decide whether to save nature or let it disappear.
The rough textures, weathered layers and small details reinforce the tension between loss and hope. Tipping Point is both a life saver and a warning of the urgency to restore our connection with nature before it is too late.
The original original artwork is a Mixed Media painting with many layers and textures on a large canvas, created with:
Heavy Gel, Plaster, Acrylic Paint, Ink, Oil Pastel, Pencil, Watercolor, Acrylic Ink, Pencil, Charcoal, Spray Paint
